Past Newbold stud master Louise Close passed away on the 17 th May 2007, she was 93 years of age. She was a remarkable woman and stud breeder,always endevoring to improve the lamb industry. She is survived by four sons and nine grandchildren. See her story in the History section.

Newbold 493/06 was awarded Champion ram at the 2007 Tanunda show. He is a outstanding sheep, with a C+ index of 199.4. He will be offered for sale at the Adelaide Royal sale. Newbold Poll Dorset ADONIS 112/04 pwwt 16.6 is also the top Lambplan sire for scrotal circumference.A direct measure of fertility.He is an excellent ram. His progeny are available this season. Semen packages are also available.

Newbold's 2007 team is one of its best ever.There are many very high index rams available.Stud rams have a high of 202 and average 183. Flock rams average 173.
