Situation

Newbold is situated just 35km North of Adelaide on the Gawler River plains. The Northern boundary of the property is the Gawler -Two Wells road. It is 6km west of Gawler and 15km east of Two Wells. The homestead is north of Hayman Road, just west of Wilkinson Road. Map to Newbold

Area

Newbold stud is run on 600ha of flat arable land. Soil types are predominately fertile sandy loams. There are some limestone outcrops as well as some heavy alluvial river loams.

Rainfall

Newbold is situated in a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and mild wet winters. The average rainfall is 400mm. Useful rain between March and November averages 325mm per annum.
